Kim Kardashian Revives Her Mid-Aughts Face-Framing Bangs

Kim Kardashian continues to lead in fashion and beauty trends, famously known as the queen of contouring. Recently, she has showcased a remarkable transformation in her physique, along with shifts in her style. Now newly single and embracing her newfound freedom, the entrepreneur has been flaunting chic and playful outfits. In a recent Instagram post, the mother of four debuted a sought-after hair style from the early 2000s—long, face-framing bangs. Rather than the more prominent curtain bangs currently in vogue, Kim’s look evoked the pre-makeover Andy Sachs from The Devil Wears Prada.

The reality television icon revealed her fresh hairstyle through her Instagram Stories, pairing it with several Skims outfits. “We cut bangs, guys,” she can be heard saying in one clip as Ariana Grande’s “Imagine” plays softly in the background. She is seen chatting with her stylist, Chris Appleton, who remains off-screen.

This new hairstyle perfectly coincides with the Skims Valentine’s Day pop-up event at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. In another post, Kim expressed how significant this occasion is for her, stating, “Having my own [Skims] pop-up store at the Century City mall means the world to me in numerous ways. This was the mall where my friends and I would ask our parents to take us every weekend during our childhood. Little did that girl know she would one day have her own store here, and I couldn’t be prouder of my entire [Skims] team for turning my greatest dreams into reality.”

Kim’s latest face-framing bangs also tap into nostalgia, as she sported a similar style when she made her initial public appearance in 2006. With Y2K aesthetics staging a comeback, Kim’s new hairstyle undeniably signals a resurgence of 2000s fashion trends.
