Gemma Atkinson, the renowned actress from Hollyoaks and a passionate advocate for fitness, recently marked her 40th birthday, proudly displaying her fit figure in a vibrant red cut-out swimsuit. This celebration follows closely on the heels of welcoming her second child, Thiago, with partner Gorka Márquez, a professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing, just 17 months prior.
In an interview with Women’s Health UK for their January/February edition, Gemma expressed her positive attitude toward the process of ageing:
“The alternative to ageing is being dead. So, I’m all about embracing ageing as best as I can. There’s no point fighting it. No one’s getting out of here alive. You may as well make the most of it.”
Since the beginning of 2023, Gemma and Gorka have been co-hosting their reality series, Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens, which can be streamed on W and UKTV Play. Regarding the potential for a third season, Gemma shared:
“We’re currently in talks to do it, but we keep thinking, why do people want to keep watching us doing nothing? But it did really well; it was the biggest show on their channel, so possibly.”
